Ready to Build Your HVAC Career?
Build your HVAC Career!
We just came across some exciting news that we want to share with you. According to a 2016 study by CareerBuilder.com, the area of skilled trades is looking promising. They anticipate high growth for HVAC, plumbing, and electrician jobs. So, if you haven’t chosen a career college training program yet, then why not consider all of these areas. We have partners with quality career-focused curriculum in HVAC, which can result in diplomas or certificates. For our current scholarship students, thanks for checking in to remember why you’re working so hard to complete your training.
Let’s take a look at the numbers Career Builder takes note of to back up their prediction that HVAC is looking good for skilled workers. Overall, they saw a jump in over 1 million jobs between 2012 to 2016, which resulted in an 8% growth rate. As far as salary goes, they found an average wage of $21.38 per hour in earnings. Now, if we look closer at HVAC in particular, the growth is anticipated to be much higher (14%) and a salary that is a bit more as well ($45,910).
What is vocational/career training?
Vocational training is typically a hands-on program that focuses on one specific area or field of study. For instance, if you take a diesel mechanic or a medical assistant program, you will focus on the knowledge and skills that employers require. This is why vocational and career training programs are typically shorter and less costly than many traditional degree programs.
This growth only makes sense, as HVAC technology isn’t going anywhere. Chances are, you’re in a nice cool room right now!
