General Questions

What is the Imagine America Foundation?

The Imagine America Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing career education in America by providing scholarship programs, elevating public awareness of the vital role of career colleges, conducting research, and honoring the achievements of professionals and students involved in career education. How many scholarships and awards are given out?

Each participating career college determines the number of $1,000 scholarships or awards it will offer to qualified student applicants.

Can I transfer my scholarship?

Imagine America scholarships and awards are not transferable because not all schools participate in our programs. Participating career colleges are fully accredited, Title IV, for-profit colleges offering specialized career training programs that have elected to participate in our program. If the school you plan to attend is a public college/university — or one that is eligible for public funding, such as a state, nonprofit or community college — the award is not applicable there.

If the school you're transferring to is a participating career college, you'll have to resubmit your application. Please contact us at scholarships@imagine-america.org if this is your intention, as we'll have to disable your current application so that you may reapply.

To determine if your school participates, please click on the link below that pertains to your scholarship.

What if the college is not listed or hyperlinked?

The school you're interested in attending isn't listed because it either has not enrolled for participation in one or more of our award programs or does not meet the eligibility criteria of being a fully accredited, private, for-profit career school.

Participating career colleges are fully accredited, Title IV, for-profit colleges that offer specialized career training programs and have elected to be part of our program. If the school you plan to attend is a public college/university or one that is eligible for public funding — such as a state, nonprofit or community college — the award is not applicable there.  Unfortunately, if the college is not listed and hyperlinked, you won't be able to apply for our scholarship.
