Adult Trade Schools and Career Colleges
Established in 2009, the Imagine America Foundation’s (IAF) Adult Skills Education Program is the only national aid program specifically designed to support enrolling adult students in adult trade schools. ASEP is a one-time award, provided through IAF to qualified adult students enrolling in an IAF participating adult trade school. All adult students must complete the IAF-developed student assessment provided by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). NCCT researchers identified certain characteristics of successful non-traditional students and used those characteristics to design this cutting-edge assessment. Once the application is completed, all information is then forwarded to the IAF participating career college for review.
Eligible students must be 19 years of age or older, be enrolling into an IAF participating career college, be a U.S.citizen or permanent resident, have a high school diploma or GED, and cannot be a previous recipient of any other Imagine America scholarship or award. Below are a list of Imagine America participating adult trade schools by state.
