Imagine America Foundation announces the 2007 LDRSHIP Award Recipients

Washington, D.C. (July 30, 2007) – Honoring those who have shown personal courage through their service in the U.S. military, the LDRSHIP Award gives recipients the financial independence to continue their education.

The Imagine America Foundation proudly bestowed the LDRSHIP Award to members of the U.S. military at the CCA Convention in New Orleans, La., June 14, 2007. Providing them with up to $5000 in cash grants, the recipients can continue their career education with financial freedom.

Since 2004, the Imagine America Foundation has recognized exceptional career college students who have selflessly honored this country through their service and have chosen to further their education. Recipients include honorably discharged, reservists, active duty and veterans that are committed students at career colleges nationwide. The LDRSHIP Award grants are sponsored by Lockheed Martin and The Sallie Mae Fund.

Bob Martin, president of the Imagine America Foundation, said this award is one way we can give back to those that have served our country.

"We are proud to honor the recipients of the LDRSHIP Award,” Martin said. “These service members have courageously dedicated their lives to our county. Now it is our turn to give back to them."

The Imagine America Foundation is proud to honor the following students with the LDRSHIP Award:
