A good leader understands people. A good leader knows how to communicate with people. A good leader is a mentor, role model and visionary. At the 2008 Career College Association (CCA) Leadership Institute, attendees learned they could be great leaders! People who may never have spoken to each other became friends through teambuilding activities. Valuable knowledge was gained through sessions presented by leaders in the industry on compliance, retention, curriculum and networking, to name a few topics.

Do you know of a student who is struggling through high school and you’re worried that they might not make it to graduation? Perhaps you know of a student whose personal problems are so overwhelming that they lack the motivation to dream beyond a high school education. Luckily there are several organizations out there created to help students just like these. Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) is one of those organizations. JAG is a school-to-career program implemented in 700 high schools, alternative schools and middle schools across the United States.
