Imagine America Promise (formerly Imagine America II)

The Imagine America Promise scholarship builds upon our award-winning Imagine America high school scholarship program, for which career colleges provide funding for scholarships. Imagine America Promise scholarships originate in another way – solely from grants made by sponsors such as The Sallie Mae Fund. The Imagine America Promise scholarship provides $500 and $1,000 cash grants toward each student's schooling.

To apply for the Imagine America Promise scholarship, a student must be nominated by a participating career college and meet the following scholarship criteria:

  • Student must have been an Imagine America (high school) scholarship recipient;
  • Be currently enrolled in his/her course of study and have a graduation date after 12/31/2007;
  • Have maintained a 3.5 or higher GPA;
  • Currently have a 95 percent or higher attendance record;
  • Obtain a written recommendation from a faculty/administrator representative at his/her career college; and
  • College must include a copy of the student's current college transcript with application.
