Helping Those In Need

Carla Nunn Student SuccessCarla Nunn is aspiring to start a non-profit organization to help the homeless. In February 2010, she met a family living near the railroad tracks. Doing nothing about it was not an option for Carla, she is currently helping that family who lost everything to get back on their feet.

Her main goal is to assist the family in finding employment and help the son to get his GED. Additionally, she is working to get a home built for the family by approaching organizations for sponsorship. She has been working with the family for several months and is determined to help them rebound.

Carla graduated from the Medical Assistant program at Carrington College in July 2010. Due to the welcoming staff, teachers and faculty, Carla has decided to enroll in the Nursing program at Carrington. “I want to learn everything I can about the medical field because some day I would like to become a pediatrician,” Carla said.
