Imagine America Foundation (IAF), announces the receipt of a $10,000 grant from the Bridgestone Firestone Trust Fund

Washington, DC (Sept. 21, 2006) — The Imagine America Foundation (IAF), announces the receipt of a $10,000 grant from the Bridgestone Firestone Trust Fund on behalf of BFS Retail & Commercial Operations, LLC (BFRC) to support the Imagine America Promise scholarship program. The donated funds will create fifteen scholarships in the amount of $1,000 or $500 each to students attending participating career colleges. Eligible students are previous recipients of the Foundation’s Imagine America high school scholarship who have maintained a minimum grade point average of 3.5 and at least a 95 percent attendance record.

"To date, this program has provided financial assistance to 375 students," said Bob Martin, president of IAF. "Imagine America Promise is the fulfillment of our promise to help students maintain educational excellence in their career education. We are grateful to BFRC and the Trust Fund for their support of this program."

The Imagine America Promise scholarship program was created in 2002 and is one of four scholarship and award programs offered by IAF.

This grant will make $1,000 scholarships available to ten students who attend participating career colleges. Eligible students are previous recipients of the Foundation’s Imagine America high school scholarship who have maintained a minimum 3.5 grade point average and at least a 95 percent attendance record.

(September 21, 2006) — The Imagine America Foundation (IAF), is pleased to announce the receipt of a $35,000 grant from The Sallie Mae Fund to support the Imagine America Promise scholarship program. This grant will make $1,000 scholarships available to thirty-five students who attend participating career colleges. Eligible students are previous recipients of the Foundation’s Imagine America high school scholarship who have maintained a minimum 3.5 grade point average and at least a 95 percent attendance record.
