LDRSHIP AWARD APPLICATION (PDF)
The Foundation established the LDRSHIP Award in
2004 to recognize and honor exceptional career college students who have
served their country honorably in the military and decided to further their
education. The LDRSHIP Award offers up to $5,000 in cash grants to active
duty, reservist, honorably discharged or retired US military veterans attending
a participating Imagine America institution.
Policies and Procedures
Applicant:
- Must be an active duty, reservist, honorably discharged or retired
U.S. military veteran attending a participating Imagine America institution;
- Must be currently enrolled in his/her course of study with a graduation
date after December 31, 2008;
- Must have maintained a 3.5 or higher GPA;
- Must currently have a 95 percent or higher attendance record;
- Student must exemplify in all respects the traits of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, integrity, and personal courage;
- Must obtain a written recommendation from a faculty/administrator representative
of his/her career college; and
- Must include a copy of his/her current college transcript with application.
- If applicable, must include a copy of his/her DD214/DD215.
Imagine America Foundation responsibilities:
- Notifies student of approval/denial of his/her application.
- Reserves the right to prorate the Award (up to $5,000) over more than one (1) payment period/quarter/semester.
- Award will be forwarded and applied to student's outstanding career college tuition balance.
- Award is nontransferable, nonnegotiable and nonrefundable.
- Award can be revoked if recipient's current education is discontinued for any reason.
