Experience. Dedication. Leadership. These are qualities each of the newly elected members will bring to the Imagine America Foundation's board. These board members will be responsible for guiding the research-and scholarship-providing arm for the career college sector throughout the 2007-2008 year as it continues to make vital contributions to postsecondary education and its students.
Joseph Davis, president and CEO of MedTech College, LLC, will serve as the chairman of the board.
Michael Platt, founder and CEO of PlattForm, will serve as the vice chairman of the board.
Jim Gessner, president of Duluth Business University, will serve his second term as treasurer.
The following individuals will also be serving as board members:
Kathleen deLaski, president of The Sallie Mae Fund.
Dr. Ellis C. Gedney, vice chairman of the board of Ex'pression College for Digital Arts.
Robert L. Martin, president of Imagine America Foundation.
Harris N. Miller, president and CEO of Career College Association.
Craig Quigley, vice president of Communications & Public Affairs for Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems & Sensors (MS2).
Dennis Spisak, vice president of sales, national sales manager for the Career College division of McGraw-Hill Higher Education.
Martin said he is looking forward to the next year and the enthusiasm the board members will bring.
"The board members were selected because they are truly dedicated to the Imagine America Foundation’s mission," Martin said. "They are committed to the organization and deeply care about the students."
